
ABEOKUTA: The Civil Defence College of Security Management in Abeokuta, Ogun State has held a Passing Out Parade ceremony for 250 gallant officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps who successfully completed the College Composite Arms Training Programme (COCATRAP 029), Field Officers Arms Handling Training (FOAHT 016), and Agro Rangers (018).
In his address, the Provost of the Civil Defence College of Security Management, Abeokuta ACG Akintelure Niyi Olufisayo, praised the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR, for his exemplary leadership, which has continued to drive the Corps to achieve remarkable successes in different facets of its core mandate .

The graduating officers underwent rigorous training in arms handling, tactical operations, and field exercises, equipping them with the necessary skills to safeguard the security-vulnerable in society and confront criminal elements threatening national peace.
The Provost commended the instructors for their dedication and commitment to imparting discipline, knowledge, and practical skills on the officers.
“May your careers be crowned with excellence and your service bring honour to the Corps and to our dear country.” He said.
In their separate addresses, the Zonal Commander of Zone 1, ACG Akinbo Olusola Micheal represented by Commandant Adeyinka Akeem, Ogun State Commandant, Commandant Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo and her Lagos counterpart , Commandant Keshinro Adedotun, urged the newly graduated officers to uphold the principles and skills acquired during the training, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, vigilance, and avoiding acts of negligence.

The passing out program also witnessed presentation of gift items to officers who achieved great feats in the course of the training exercise.
