
The former Chairmanship Aspirant in the just concluded local Government election in Ogun Waterside,Obipehin Kayode has emphasised the need to encourage children especially primary school students to have interest in sporting activities as it plays pivotal role in human development with lots of health benefits and financial upliftment if chosen as a carrer.
Kayode Obipehin popularly known as Kaymoni who is also the Special Assistant on Youth and Community Affairs to the Special Adviser on SDGs and water resources to Ogun State Governor, Damilola Otunbajo stated this in his speech as the chairman of the occasion at the Inter-House Sports competition of Local Government Primary School, Ibiade, Ogun Waterside.
As the Chairman of the occasion, Kaymoni stressed the importance of sports and its positive impact on health and community development.
Obipehin Kayode expressed gratitude to his alma mater for shaping his life and that of many others.
He encouraged the students to prioritize both education and sports as tools for societal transformation and poverty alleviation.
As a passionate sports enthusiast who understands the significance of community sports development, he made a cash donation to support the school’s sporting activities.
While presenting medals to the winning students, he urged them to believe in themselves, work hard, and strive to be valuable assets to the future.

Mr. Obipehin Kayode stressed that sports, as a unifying force in society, have consistently played a role in reducing crime and alleviating poverty.
Demonstrating his dedication to sports development, he organized a football competition in 2024, offering cash rewards and jerseys to all participating teams in Ogun Waterside Local Government.
The commitment and sportsmanship displayed by the participating students at his alma mater gave him hope for a brighter future for Ogun Waterside Local Government, Ogun State, and Nigeria—with collective support from all.
