The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Yewa South State Constituency in the 2027 Ogun State House of Assembly election, Hon. Rotimi Ogundele, has expressed profound gratitude to party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and well-wishers for their roles in his emergence as the party’s flagbearer.
In a statement issued by the Irorunde ’27 Strategic Media Team, Ogundele described his victory at the PDP primary election as a collective achievement made possible through the unwavering support, prayers and commitment of party faithful and supporters across Yewa South and beyond.
The PDP candidate particularly commended the Ogun State leader of the party, Oladipupo Adebutu, for his leadership and commitment to the democratic process. He also appreciated the State Chairman, Hon. (Dr.) Abayomi Tella, the Senatorial Chairman, Elder Sunday Olusola Soledolu, the Yewa South Local Government Chairman, Hon. Lateef Onifade, and the Yewa South Collegiate Chairman, Alhaji (Chief) Aliu Faghohun, for their guidance and support throughout the primary election process.
Ogundele further extended his appreciation to traditional rulers in the constituency for their royal blessings and fatherly counsel, as well as supporters in the diaspora whose encouragement, he said, contributed significantly to the success of his aspiration.
He also acknowledged the prayers and solidarity of the Muslim, Christian and traditional religious communities, describing them as a source of strength during the campaign period.
The PDP standard-bearer equally lauded card-carrying members of the party across Yewa South for their dedication and loyalty, noting that their commitment remains the foundation of the party’s strength in the constituency.
Special recognition was also given to the Irorude Support Group for what he described as its tireless efforts and steadfast commitment to the realization of the project.
Describing his emergence as a victory for unity and hope, Ogundele said the mandate belongs to the people of Yewa South and reflects their collective aspiration for better representation and development.
He called on party members and supporters to sustain their support, cooperation and prayers as preparations begin for the 2027 general election.
“This victory is not for one person alone; it is a victory for unity, hope and the shared aspiration for a better Yewa South and Ogun State. Together, we will work towards delivering purposeful representation and sustainable progress for our people,” he stated.
Ogundele assured constituents of his commitment to providing effective representation and pursuing policies that would promote development and improve the welfare of residents if elected into office.
