It was an epoch making event at the maiden induction ceremony of Neem Gents Club as five new members were inducted into the fast growing club.
To set machinery in motion for smooth running of the club, a Founding member of the, Club Gent Olumuyiwa Omowumi officially Administered the Oath of office on
the President, Gent Jonathan Sobowale who have been over seeing the affairs of the club with his executive members, Gent Adewale Bankole, General Secretary, Ogunkunle Taofeek, PRO, Obasa Ibrahim Treasurer, Asiru Olatunji , Welfare and Social Director, and Kazeem Akinjide, Chief Whip in interim Capacity as substantive Excos.
In His Address, the President of Neem Gents Club, Gent Jonathan Sobowale recalled that the idea of having the club started during the Covid 19 lockdown where they usually gathered as friends under a tree in Olomore for merry making, gist and also share ideas, and therefore collectively decided to formalize it as a club.
The president Noted that the club members are businessmen, contractors and High rank Civil servants with the aims to foster unity and enhance members’ welfare
Gent Jonathan while inducting the new five members, Adebayo Olamilekan, Ayodeji Olamide , Adeyemi Nofiu, Adekoya Adeoluwa and Olaide Olayinka enjoined them to be diligent, be of good conduct, to always make themselves available for club’s meetings and other engagements and as well adhere to club rules and regulations.
Speaking further, the President maintained that the club has achieved a lot within the short period, by extending the hands of fellowship to people in need, and carried out several Cooperate Social Responsibility,CSR such as community service, and therefore assured that more should be expected.
He urged members to work together adding that plan is in top gear to have a diaspora chapter of Neem Gents because the club has lots of members in Diaspora.
He also used the opportunity to advise Nigerian youths to be proactive in seeking opportunities.
“My advice to Nigerian Youth is that you don’t wait for what the government will do for you, as a youth, you have to strive hard to look for what you can do for yourself .”
The Secretary of the Club,Gent Adewale Bankole and other founding members which include Gent Moshood Buhari,Gent Akinwalere seyi, Gent adegbite Adebare, Gent Abosede Samson and Gent Ibukun advised the newly inducted members to always keep to time , uphold the principles of the club , because NEEM GENTS CLUB is a very disciplined club with People of high intellectual capacities as members.
Meanwhile, newly decorated Neem Gents member Mr Olamide Ayodeji speaking on behalf of others said the club has been a club that he has been aspiring to join.
He advised the newly inducted members to put all hands on deck to ensure a successful and a vibrant club .
In attendance at the induction ceremony were the wives of Neem gents members who were celebrated by their husbands with special gifts.
