The Door To Door Team Yayi joins thousands of well-meaning Nigerians in celebrating Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi on his conferment as a Fellow of Yaba College of Technology (FYCT) at the institution’s 37th Convocation Ceremony held on the 21st November, 2025 in Lagos.
This prestigious honour, bestowed by the renowned Yaba College of Technology, recognizes Senator Yayi’s exceptional contributions to the growth and development of the education sector and his unwavering dedication to national progress.
The award was received on his behalf by Hon. Bolaji Oyeleye, Special Assistant to the Deputy Senate President, alongside a delegation of his aides and supporters including Hon. Bisi Oyeleye (Citiside), Hon. Sanusi Adeniyi (Fiwagboye of Ajilete,Yewa) and others. The ceremony was witnessed by top dignitaries, including the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Said Ahmed.
As a passionate advocate for education, Senator Yayi has consistently championed transformative initiatives both as the former representative of Lagos West and now as the Senator representing Ogun West.
His impactful interventions include major educational infrastructure projects, bursary and scholarship awards, and key legislative efforts aimed at expanding access to quality education.
A standout achievement is his sponsorship of the bill upgrading the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro into the Federal University of Technology, Ilaro—a historic step that has already received presidential assent from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This monumental upgrade is set to redefine educational opportunities for youths in Ogun West and across the nation.
