A United Kingdom-based Nigerian prince and son of the Onirolu of Irolu, Oba Adeyiga Sikiru, Prince Adeyiga Abidemi, has declared his support for the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, the Ogun East Senatorial District aspiration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, and the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Prince Adeyiga, an All Progressives Congress (APC) member from Ward 10 in Ikenne Local Government Area and Patron of Caucus 7202, Ikenne Local Government Chapter, said the track records of the three leaders had demonstrated their capacity to deliver greater development for Ogun State and Nigeria if given another mandate.
Speaking on the forthcoming elections, the UK-based politician described Senator Adeola’s performance as lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District as outstanding, noting that his constituency projects had spread across all the 20 local government areas of Ogun State.
According to him, the senator has facilitated numerous developmental projects, including road construction, distribution of transformers, installation of solar-powered street lights, construction of healthcare centres and classroom blocks, Town halls, Lock up shops, Shopping complexes as well as various empowerment programmes that have positively impacted residents across the state.
He further noted that Adeola’s position as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations had enabled him to attract impactful projects while projecting Ogun State and Nigeria positively at the national level.
Prince Adeyiga expressed confidence that if elected governor in 2027, Senator Adeola would transform Ogun State into a major centre of development and investment, making it more attractive both nationally and internationally.
He also called on Ogun indigenes, both at home and in the diaspora, to support all APC candidates, maintaining that the achievements of Governor Dapo Abiodun and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu were visible and deserving of renewed mandates.
Prince Adeyiga also commended the grassroots mobilisation efforts of Caucus 7202, particularly its Ikenne Local Government Chapter under the leadership of Comrade Ogunmoye Ayomide Toto, as well as the “Remo Big Boys for Yayi” group led by Comrade Oladapo Charles Babashola, describing their contributions as instrumental to strengthening the APC’s support base ahead of the 2027 elections.
The APC loyalist pledged to mobilise support for the party’s candidates in various capacities as the election season approaches and urged eligible Nigerians to register for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), while advising those who had already registered to safeguard their cards and participate actively in the electoral process.
