Rather than mark the birthday of Chief Femi Jaguar with fanfare, the Prince Adesina Olalekan Foundation chose to celebrate the occasion by extending love and support to vulnerable children at the Stella Obasanjo Motherless Babies Home through a humanitarian outreach.
The outreach, which featured the donation of essential items and an interactive session with the children and caregivers, underscored the foundation’s commitment to compassion, community service and the welfare of disadvantaged members of society.
The visit was marked by moments of joy as the children welcomed the foundation’s delegation with songs, prayers and birthday wishes for Chief Femi Jaguar, expressing gratitude for the gesture and the care shown to them.
Speaking during the visit, the Executive Director of the Prince Adesina Olalekan Foundation, Prince Adesina Olalekan, applauded the management and staff of the home for their dedication to caring for the children despite the challenges associated with the responsibility.
He described their commitment as an inspiring demonstration of compassion and selfless service, noting that their efforts were helping to shape the future of children who deserved every opportunity to realise their dreams.
Prince Adesina also encouraged the children not to allow their present circumstances to define their future, urging them to remain focused on their education, believe in themselves and work hard towards achieving their aspirations.
According to him, every child possesses the potential to become a leader and make meaningful contributions to society if given the right encouragement and opportunities.
Explaining the rationale behind the outreach, he said the foundation deliberately chose humanitarian service as the most meaningful way to commemorate Chief Femi Jaguar’s birthday.
“The greatest way to celebrate life is by touching other lives. Today is not just about marking a birthday. It is about restoring hope, putting smiles on faces and reminding these children that they are valued, loved and not forgotten. This reflects the values we stand for as a foundation,” he said.
Prince Adesina reaffirmed the foundation’s resolve to deepen its humanitarian interventions across Nigeria, stressing that its mission extends beyond charitable donations to creating sustainable opportunities that improve lives and strengthen communities.
He said the organisation would continue to invest in programmes that empower vulnerable groups, support families and promote inclusive development through strategic interventions.
Over the years, the Prince Adesina Olalekan Foundation has implemented several social and economic empowerment initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of Nigerians. Among its flagship programmes are the ₦1 million Small and Medium Enterprise Grant Programme for entrepreneurs and the ₦600,000 Widows Support Initiative, designed to provide financial assistance to widows facing economic hardship.
The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining humanitarian programmes that promote hope, dignity and economic empowerment while contributing to the development of resilient and inclusive communities across the country.
