The Chief Executive Officer of Oni Electronics and Patroness of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, Chief Mrs Mojisola Oni-Quadri, has congratulated the Chairman of the council, Comrade Chief Wale Olanrewaju, on his installation as the Asiwaju Agbaakin of Owu-Akinale.
Olanrewaju was conferred with the prestigious traditional title by the Towulade of Owu-Akinale, His Royal Majesty, Oba Oluseyi Adediran, during activities marking the monarch’s first coronation anniversary.
Shortly after the installation ceremony, the newly installed chief, accompanied by members of his entourage and his wife, Mrs Olanrewaju, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Mrs Oni-Quadri at the Oni Electronics warehouse in Sapon, Abeokuta, where they were warmly received.
Speaking during the visit, the Ibuso Aje of Egbaland congratulated Olanrewaju on the honour, describing the conferment as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership and service.
She offered prayers for the new chief and pledged her continued support for the Ogun State Council of the NUJ, expressing confidence that the chieftaincy title would usher in greater opportunities and more accomplishments for him.
Chief Mrs Oni-Quadri also reaffirmed her commitment to the welfare and growth of the union, assuring the leadership of her sustained support in advancing the objectives of the council.
Responding, Comrade Olanrewaju expressed appreciation to the business mogul for the warm reception and her unwavering support for the Ogun NUJ over the years.
He described Chief Mrs Oni-Quadri as one of Ogun State’s outstanding philanthropists and entrepreneurs whose contributions to humanity have continued to impact lives positively.
The NUJ chairman also commended her for her commitment to promoting Yoruba cultural heritage and her numerous charitable interventions, noting that her support has remained invaluable to the journalism profession in the state.
He thanked her for the goodwill and prayers, promising to continue to uphold the values of integrity, service and professionalism that earned him the prestigious traditional title.
