No fewer than 40 newly admitted students of Crestfield College of Health Technology, Erin Osun, Ogun Waterside Campus, Abigi, have matriculated under a scholarship programme sponsored by the member representing Ogun Waterside State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle, popularly known as Lawee.
In addition to the fresh beneficiaries, seven students already on the scheme were retained and supported to continue their studies, bringing the total number of beneficiaries under the lawmaker’s educational intervention to 47.
Supporters of the lawmaker described the initiative as a demonstration of his commitment to human capital development and youth empowerment, noting that the scholarship programme has continued to provide access to quality education for indigent students in the constituency.
According to them, the intervention goes beyond political promises, as it reflects a deliberate effort to invest in the future by equipping young people with the skills and qualifications required to excel in the healthcare sector.
They added that the initiative has also provided relief to many families struggling with the financial burden of tertiary education.
The supporters maintained that Hon. Adekunle’s track record in education and other areas of constituency development justifies calls for his re-election in 2027, describing his leadership as one anchored on visible results and service to the people.
They expressed optimism that continued support for the lawmaker would guarantee the sustenance of programmes aimed at empowering youths and promoting socio-economic development in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area.
