..Alaye, Obiri, Hon. Daytayo, other stakeholders press for accelerated development of Aiyepe Community
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has assured the people of Aiyepe in Odogbolu Local Government Area that the rehabilitation of the strategic Aiyepe–Ikenne Road will commence soon as part of his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development across the state.
The assurance came during a strategic meeting with political and traditional leaders from Aiyepe, who visited the Governor to present key developmental needs of the community.
The delegation included the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Hon. Tokunbo Talabi; the member representing Odogbolu State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Lukman Olalekan Adeleye; the Alaye of Aiyepe, Oba Michael Kolawole Adekoya; the Obiri of Aiyepe, Oba Bisi Okubanjo; and other All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and stakeholders, including Hon. Shuiab Ladejobi, Hon. Moshood Adetayo Abubakar (Daytayo), Hon. Ola Langbodo, Hon.
Adebanjo Owoyale, Hon. Akeem Awolesi and Hon. Dr. Idris Mabifa of Ward 6, Aiyepe Eyinwa.
During the meeting, the stakeholders emphasized the urgent need for the rehabilitation of the Aiyepe–Ikenne Road, describing it as a critical infrastructure that would enhance transportation, stimulate economic activities and improve the living conditions of residents.
Responding, Governor Abiodun reiterated his administration’s resolve to ensure balanced development in all parts of Ogun State, assuring the delegation that their request had received due attention.
He disclosed that the process leading to the rehabilitation of the road would begin soon, reaffirming his government’s commitment to delivering projects that have direct impact on the lives of the people.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of collaboration between government, traditional institutions and political leaders in promoting grassroots development and sustaining the state’s development agenda.
Members of the delegation commended Governor Abiodun for his receptive disposition and expressed optimism that the planned road project would significantly transform Aiyepe and its adjoining communities.
The founder Daytayo Progressive Movement (DPM), Hon. Moshood Adetayo Abubakar described the engagement as another demonstration of the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and responsive leadership.
