As part of ongoing efforts to consolidate grassroots support ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State at the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Hon. Akeem Akintayo Amosun, has re-sensitized 1,000 coordinators of the Hon. Akeem Amosun Political Movement across the 15 wards of Abeokuta South Local Government Area.

The strategic meeting, held on Sunday at the residence of Hon. Amosun, Kemta, Abeokuta, the state capital.

Our correspondent reports that the meeting was organised to reinforce the movement’s grassroots structure and sustain political awareness in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI.

The coordinators, drawn from Wards 1 to 15, were reminded of their responsibility to maintain close engagement with members and residents in their respective communities. They also oversee an extensive grassroots network, with each ward comprising between 500 and 1,000 registered members.

While speaking at the gathering, Hon. Amosun described the meeting as another phase in the movement’s continuous coordination and sensitization efforts, stressing that sustained interaction with the grassroots remains critical to achieving the group’s political objectives.

He urged the coordinators to intensify community engagement through street-to-street and door-to-door mobilisation while highlighting the leadership qualities, legislative achievements and developmental track record of Senator Adeola.

Amosun, however, emphasized that the gathering was not an election campaign but a lawful coordination meeting, noting that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had yet to declare the official campaign period.

According to him, the movement will continue to educate, organise and mobilise its members within the confines of the law until electioneering activities officially commence.

He expressed confidence in Senator Adeola’s capacity to provide purposeful leadership for Ogun State, describing the APC governorship candidate as an experienced, competent and people-focused leader with a proven record of effective representation and impactful development initiatives.

The Federal Commissioner also called on members of the movement to remain united, disciplined and committed to the ideals of the APC while sustaining support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the governorship aspiration of Senator Adeola in the 2027 elections.

The meeting attracted coordinators from all 15 wards of Abeokuta South, who reaffirmed their commitment to expanding the movement’s reach and strengthening grassroots mobilisation across the local government.
