Osun Governor’s apology taken in good faith.

Eti to gbo alo….Gbodo gbo abo

I have been bombarded with several calls of solidarity since the incident of my attack by the security aides attached to the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke at a public function in Joga Orile on Friday.

I want to appreciate everyone who stood by me in this course of correcting the ills in society.

My appreciation starts from the number one journalist in Nigeria Chief Chris Isiguzo MFR, B Zone Vice President Ronke Afebioye Samo, and number one Journalist in Ogun State, Akinwale Olanrewaju for their swift interventions

All Chairmen and Secretaries in southwest and the entire Journalists in Nigeria. I am more convinced that a united NUJ can change the trajectory of incessant harassment of our colleagues irrespective of who is involved.

Special appreciation to the General Manager of the Ogun State Television Tunde Kassim and over five hundred journalists in Ogun State who stood by me in the course of the events through their pen

Society of Nigeria broadcasters SNB and Association of Nigerian Broadcasters ANBROAD as they all stood by me

FOR THE RECORDS

My target was not the Osun State Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke but the Nigeria Police who still have more work to do. We still have bad eggs within that system

I am so sure the way they behaved was not the way they were taught, and it doesn’t reflect the principles of the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun

Or maybe I should believe they are fake Police officers in Police uniform ?

I need to let the world know that the Spokesperson to the Osun State Governor Mallam Olawale Rasheed issued a press release apologising to Nigerian Journalists of what happened at Joga Orile and he has also called me on phone but the denial of the Officers who perpetuated the act and won’t believe the concocted lies as ongoing investigation to unravel their names is on course.

Moving forward with Lessons learnt we all need to know our boundaries, Police should know their work and responsibility at events while Journalists are there to tell the world what happened at that event you think you have control over

After the duo of Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Governor Dapo Abiodun had left, the hooded police officers were still on the ground securing Governor Ademola Adeleke

LET JOURNALISTS BREATHE AT EVENTS AND STOP TREATING THEM ANYHOW

I also had a chat with force public relations officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi who I am sure will not relent in his findings to fish them out, I need to see the faces behind those acts because they were hooded

Thank you all for demanding justice for me, you have only done this for the ordinary Nigerians who remain voiceless in the face of democracy.
