A prominent indigene of Ogun Waterside Local Government Area, Mr. Demola Andu, popularly known as “The Bridge,” has congratulated Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun on her emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State, describing her nomination as “a new dawn for a greater Ogun State.”
Andu, a diaspora based Nigerian and grandson of the reputable Ibiade based business icon, late Alhaji Andu, said the choice of Adegunwa-Balogun by the party was a welcome development, noting that she possesses the requisite experience, intellect and pedigree needed to complement the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
According to him, Ogun State stands to benefit immensely if the Yayi/Adegunwa-Balogun ticket emerges victorious in the 2027 governorship election.
He described the APC deputy governorship candidate as a distinguished and accomplished personality whose emergence has rekindled hope among the people, especially women and young leaders who see her as a model of purposeful leadership and excellence.
Andu prayed for divine wisdom, strength and good health for Adegunwa-Balogun as she prepares for the task ahead, expressing confidence in her ability to contribute meaningfully to the continued development and prosperity of Ogun State.
He also called on residents of the state, particularly the people of Ogun Waterside Local Government Area, to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and actively participate in the electoral process by supporting Senator Adeola, Mrs. Adegunwa-Balogun and other candidates of the APC.
“Together, we can build a prosperous future for Ogun State. I urge our people to remain committed to the vision of progress and ensure they are fully involved in the democratic process,” he said.
Andu further congratulated the APC deputy governorship candidate on what he described as a well-deserved elevation, expressing optimism that her emergence would herald greater achievements and impactful service to the people of Ogun State.
