A famous University don and a Muslim faithful Prof. Busurat Kemi Adekola of Olabisi Onabanjo University had sponsored a public Ramadan lecture in honour of her late parents, Alhaji Musiliudeen Adefesobi popularly known as “Head of State” or “Baba Ilu” and Alhaja Mudirat Ibijoke Adefesobi who died over a decade ago.
The lecture was organized to commemorate the Lailatul quadri, the last ten day in the month of Ramadan and to offer supplication to her late parents.
Delivering his Sermon titled “Good intentions during the lailatul Quardri” which was held at her family house in Toga Quarter in Ogun Waterside Local Government, the Founder of Sheikh Almazamaza Da’awah Foundation of Nigeria, Sheikh Tajudeen, Qaseem attributed the Lack of mutual love, bad intentions and unnecessary rivalry as factors that is capable of causing retrogression in people’s life because Allah frowned at it.
He therefore urged Muslim faithful to always respect Muslim leaders and elders, noting that, the town of Ibiade is blessed with several notable islamic clerics and people should always accord them the honour they deserved so as to tap from their wealth of knowledge and spirituality.
While extolling the Professor Busurat Oluwakemi Adekola for organising the lecture in honour of her parents, the guest lecturer described her as a righteous woman of many virtues as he also commended her philanthropic gestures.
He enjoined parents to train their children so that when they are no more, the children left behind will remember them for good just as the Professor Adekola is doing for her late parents.
“Allah loves, appreciates it and also has a way of blessing whoever honours his or her departed parents especially those who served Allah fervently while alive.” He added.
On his part, The branch Missioner, NASFAT , odogbolu branch, Ustaz Musibaudeen corroborated the Guest lecturer and appreciated God in the life of Professor Mrs Adekola. The Islamic cleric also harped on good deeds and intention towards one another and enjoined all Muslim faithful to be prepared for death because it is inevitable.
The Host, Prof. Busurat Oluwakemi Adekola appreciated God for the success of the first edition of the Annual program which had commenced since the beginning of the 2024 Ramadan and climaxed with the Lailatul quadri, as she expressed the belief that prayers and supplications have been accepted by God. She also appreciated the islamic Clerics and other guests present throughout the lecture periods and the night of majesty (lailatul quardri) program.
She explained further that her late parents were the pillars of support who contributed immensely to become whom she is today, and there is need to always remember them in accordance with Allah’s directives.
Special prayers were thereafter offered for the repose of late Alhaji Musiliudeen Adefesobi and Alhaja Mudirat Ibijoke Adefesobi, and prayed to Allah to grant them Aljannah fridaus.
