TRIBUNAL VICTORY, TRIUMPH OF THE PEOPLES’ WILL – OKANLAWON

The Chairman, Governing Council, D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic, Itori-Ewekoro, Ogun State and Bobagunwa Egbaland Ambassador Toye Okanlawon has described the victory of Governor Dapo Abiodun at the Ogun State election petition tribunal as the vindication of the will of the people of Ogun State as freely expressed during the last gubernatorial election.

In a congratulatory statement released by Amb. Okanlawon, the Council Chairman commended the justices who served on the tribunal panel for their rigorous and dispassionate consideration of all the evidence presented by the candidates.

Okanlawon said, “freedom of expression and the rule of law are fundamental tenets of democracy. The good people of Ogun State made their choice on March 18, 2023 when they freely gave governor Abiodun the mandate to govern them for a second term. That popular choice has been tested by the rule of law and is now validated. It is indeed, the triumph of the peoples’ will”

Okanlawon urged governor Abiodun to be magnanimous in victory by embracing all in the State. “I warmly congratulate our amiable governor”, Okanlawon said, adding that, “my advice is for him continue devoting his energy to the growth and development of the entire State.”
