… Work Progressing Speedily As Planned – CEO

In a deft move to meet the planned September 11, 2024 date for the commissioning of the first set of Pelican’s Ecostay Apartments – an emerging Smart City where nature meets luxury at Kobape corridor of Ogun State, one of the leading and credible real estate firm in Nigeria, Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, has moved its weekly management meeting to the site to ensure close monitoring of the project and fast – pacing of the construction process.

The project which is going to be about the first top – notch eco – friendly residential setting in the Gateway State, where ” nature meets luxury to promote healthy living” – has already received the buy – in of scores of Diasporas who’re more than impressed by the concept, which some of them said, is comparable to what is obtainable in Canada and few other developed places.

The Daily Crucible gathered that the Pelican Valley is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the September 11 commissioning Date is achievable with the launch of completed units of the novel apartments where the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, is expected to grace the event as a Special Guest of Honour while former governor, Aremo, Olusegun Osoba is also expected to be the Father of the Day. Also, the Chairperson of Nigeria in Diaspora Commission(NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri – Erewa, is equally expected at the commissioning.

Rising from their first meeting on Monday, May 6 at the Ecostay Apartments, an extension of Pelican Brief Estate, the Pelican Valley CEO, Ambassador (Dr) Babatunde Adeyemo, says they have no luxury of time hence the resolve to relocate their routine management meeting from the Corporate Headquarters at Laderin, Abeokuta, to the Ecostay Apartments site to ensure close project supervision and monitoring as well as enhance the chances of meeting the September 11 commissioning date.

Adeyemo identified interlocks, plastering, casting, drainages and recreational facilities among others as ongoing works being fast – tracked to beat the project deadline ahead of the September 11 while all materials required, including floor tiles to complete the construction work have already been procured and moved to site.

“We are here to do one of our routine management meetings and we have decided to move it to Pelican Brief, Kobape this week. Normally, we do our management meeting at our corporate headquarters at Laderin Abeokuta but because of the urgency of the work that we want to do in respect to the apartments we want to commission on September 11, 2024.

“First, we have resolved to bring our weekly management meeting to this point so that we will be able to oversee what we are doing. And secondly, we will be able to pass instructions to whoever that deserved to be instructed because we have a lot to do before now and September 11. You can see our interlocks are ongoing, you can see that the bricklayers are working and you can also see those coming in for casting are working to start the casting. We are working on our drainages. That is on course, we started it today. We want to start the plastering of our apartments.

“We are really up to the task to the Glory of God. We have bought all the tiles, interlocks and everything that we need to complete our apartments. They are all here. So, we don’t have the luxury of time and that is why we moved our management meeting to site so that we can see what is going on, do our meeting and proceed with the necessary deliverables that we are meant to deliver.

“I have no doubt in my mind that we are going to meet up with the September 11 commissioning date. We want to also fix our recreational facilities, we are mobilising the welders, we are doing the casting of the floors for recreation. We want everything to be set by September 11 by the Grace of God. This is just a step in the right direction so as to avoid just sitting down in the office. We decided to come to site, do our meeting and swiftly move to construction work,” he said.

Corroborating, the firm’s Director of Operations, Tpl. Olumide Akintomide, said: “The work is ongoing and fast-paced. The success is what we are working towards, that is why we we have our management meeting here. You can see the interlocks are ongoing, we intend having our recreational facilities here. We also have car park here too.

“Before September 11, we are going to have a serene environment here. The drainage will be completed. We will like to lay emphasis that at Pelican Valley, what we do is just quality. The materials we are using are of quality standards. The professional engineers and town planners we are using, all our buildings and layouts have approval of the state government.”
