Salisu Emerges Ogun Central Senatorial APC Consensus Candidate

The Ogun Central All Progressive Congress (APC) has announced the senator representing the senatorial district, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu as the consensus candidate of the party in forthcoming 2027 general elections.

The endorsement took place at Party stakeholders meeting on Thursday held at Premises of MKO Abiola Sport Arena, Kuto, Abeokuta, the state capital.

Announcing his candidacy before the party stakeholders, the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun recalld the good antecedents of the senator Salisu that warrants him to represent the senatorial district for the second term.

Governor Abiodun described Salisu as a loyal party member, who has never in anyway practice antiparty politics, and a well recognised members of the Senate.

He added that, the senator would continue his good work and make adjustments in a areas he has not touch during his first term.

Speaking at the meeting, the consensus gubernatorial candidate of the party, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi implored the party members to show the interest they have him on Senator Salisu for the good people of the State.

In his acceptance speech, Senator Salisu, a Fellow of the Nigeria Computer Society (FNCS) and a lawmaker, expressed gratitude to the party members on the overwhelmed support given to him, vowing to justify the confidence reposed in him.
