
In the spirit of Christmas, the Sabo Oke Forum has bridged the gap between the poor and the rich by spreading joy to residents of Sabo Oke, Ilorin, Kwara State.
The forum presented gifts to artisans, traders, community members, and scholarships to students as part of their fifth annual philanthropic gesture.
The gifts included grinding machines, sewing machines, clippers, Generators, and food items for nearly 200 residents.
Market women received cash gifts, while aged individuals got money and other essentials.
According to the President of the Forum Nurudeen Omojasola Lawal, the community also benefited from solar light installations, speed breakers to reduce road crashes, infrastructure upgrades, and scholarships for secondary school students.

This year’s event also featured annual community football game competition, adding to the festive cheer.
On their parts, the secretary of Sabo Oke Forum , Olawale Yakubu and Financial Secretary, Kolawole Felix Ajiboye explained that this yearly philanthropical initiative is born out of members commitment to give back to the society, and empower people to become self sufficient in life
On her part, the Treasurer, Nike Olajide noted that the forum also sponsored feeding programs during Ramadan fasting while performing other soul lifting activities.
The beneficiaries in their numbers appreciated the forum’s efforts at making positive impact on the lives of Sabo Oke residents adding that the initiative had lifted many out of poverty.
