Olododo, Ward B Oworo Assistant Youth Leader, Hails Abiru’s Empowerment, Education Programmes
LAGOS — A youth leader in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Femi Akinniran Olododo, has commended Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, for his interventions in youth development, education, entrepreneurship and constituency development.
Olododo, Assistant Youth Leader, Ward B, Oworo, stated this after a meeting with the senator, describing the encounter as an opportunity to engage with a legislator whose constituency programmes have focused on human capital development and economic empowerment.
He specifically highlighted initiatives associated with Senator Abiru, including the annual bursary scheme for students, the Senator Abiru Innovation Lab (SAIL), MSME support programmes and various constituency interventions across Lagos East. According to Abiru’s official platform, the bursary scheme was established to support brilliant but indigent students, while SAIL provides technology, business and digital-skills development opportunities for youths.
The senator’s constituency platform also lists an MSME-1000 programme designed to provide business support, information and capacity development for entrepreneurs across the Lagos East senatorial district.
Olododo said the meeting reinforced the importance of citizens paying attention to the records, programmes and policy priorities of political candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He urged residents of Kosofe and other parts of Lagos East to remain actively engaged in the democratic process, participate in elections and make their choices based on information about the candidates and their respective records.
According to him, sustained attention to youth empowerment, education, small-business development and people-oriented representation remains important to the progress of the senatorial district.
