The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council, is delighted to join the chorus of well-wishers celebrating the diamond jubilee of Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, representing Ogun Central Senatorial District.
In a statement signed by the chairman comrade Wale Olanrewaju and the Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun, the Council described Senator Salisu as someone whose sojourn on heart so far marks a significant milestone, and acknowledged his immense contributions to the development of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
The Union further commended his exemplary leadership quality as Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, as well as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity.
“We commend Senator Salisu for being a silent achiever, dedicating himself to the service of the people at the grassroots. His commitment to the National Assembly is evident in his unwavering dedication to the welfare of his constituents.
“The NUJ Ogun State Council is particularly grateful for Senator Salisu’s support for the journalism profession. His visits to our Council and interactions with journalists in Ogun State demonstrate his commitment to the growth and development of the media.
