… Enlighten Them on NSCDC Mandates, Others
The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ogun State Command Headquarters, Abeokuta, Commandant Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo has received in audience,the Association of Refineries Petroleum Marketers Task Force Team led by its Ogun State Chairman, Mr. Femi Adepegba and twelve other members of the team on Friday, November 8th, 2024 at the stat headquarters,Owu dekudu, Abeokuta.
The Chairman, ANRPM Task Force Team, reeled out some of the activities of the association including: anti-vandal, anti-bunkering; anti-smuggling and anti-illegal activities on petroleum products.
He added that the association needs the support of the NSCDC in the area of arms support in case of any possible discovery centering on illegal activities relating to petroleum products.
In her response, the State Commandant educated them on the mandates of the Corps and the essence that should be the crux of the collaboration.
According to the State Commandant, “The NSCDC has the mandate of protecting critical national assets and infrastructure which includes and not limited to monitoring anything that has to do with petroleum products and its activities in Nigeria.
“She continued stating that the association will do much more better if they call on the NSCDC during their plans to arrest anyone moreso the Corps is the only agency saddled with the responsibility of arresting, investigating and prosecuting of suspects in the law court” she submitted.
