
The commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil defence corps, NSCDC Ogun state Command, commandant Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo has applauded the Ogun command of NSCDC Cooperative society for good conduct and operating in accordance with global best practices.
The Commandant gave the commendation during the 2025 edition of the society’s Annual General meeting and inauguration of new executives.
In her remark, the commandant noted that she has been able move round different states of the federation and she was able to observed how different Commands of NSCDC run their Cooperative society and having understudied the Ogun command, she gave them pass mark as their impacts is greatly felt by members.

She however urged members to promptly pay their monthly deductions and should endeavor to take loans only for something that will better their lives economically and not for frivolities.
While inaugurating the new executives led by Semiu Elegbede, after their certificates of returned were handed over to them, Commandant also charged them to be upright, transparent and avoid financial misappropriation.
In his speech, the commissioner for Local Government and chieftaincy affairs, Honourable Ganiu Hazmat also commended the NSCDC for maintaining and sustaining the society for years, urging them to keep the flag flying.

The president of the society who was also inaugurated for the second term in office – Assured members of a more robust and impactful financial year, prompt loan approval and investment that will bring bumper yields to members at the end of the year.
Awards were presented to some of the outgone executives for a job weldone and contributions to the development of society.

The members of the new executives led by Superintendent of Corps Elegbede Semiu includes BABALOLA GBENGA as Vice President, Ojo WARITH as General Secretary, Olowookere Kazeem as Treasurer.
Others are Siyanbola Olalekan as Financial Secretary, Ogunkunle Taofeek as Public Relations Officer, Bakare Patrick as the internal auditor, Araba Oluwaseun as the Assistant General Secretary, Popoola SAKIRU as the Chief whip.
