The Ogun State Government has confirmed steady progress in the ongoing reconstruction of the Saje–Miliki–Elega Road in Abeokuta, with asphalt work now extending beyond the recently completed Tyre Roundabout towards Miliki Junction.
Speaking on the development, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, said the project, being executed under the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, is of strategic importance to the state capital and its surrounding communities.
According to him, the Saje–Miliki–Elega Road serves as a critical link to several key areas, including Bode Olude, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), the Bode Olude Market, Fadama Market, and other notable commercial and residential communities.
Engr. Akinsanya noted that the reconstruction is not only about easing transportation but also about boosting economic and social activities in the state. “This project is central to our administration’s commitment to equitable infrastructure development across Ogun State. By improving connectivity to vital hubs, we are laying the foundation for economic growth, community development, and improved quality of life for our people,” he stated.
The project is one of several road interventions currently being delivered across the state under the “Building Our Future Together” agenda, aimed at ensuring no region is left behind in the administration’s development drive.
