The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Congress Appeal Committee in Ogun State has said it has not received any petition from aggrieved members or groups following the party’s just concluded ward congress.
The committee described the exercise, held on February 18, 2026, as peaceful, orderly and conducted in strict adherence to party guidelines across all wards in the state.
Chairman of the committee, Philip Shuaib, made this known on Friday while addressing journalists at the APC State Secretariat in Iyana Mortuary, Abeokuta.
According to him, no formal complaint has been submitted to the committee since the conclusion of the congress.
“The Ogun State APC ward congresses conducted on February 18, 2026, were very peaceful and followed the party’s guidelines,” he said. “As we speak, we have not received a single petition from any aggrieved member or group.”
Shuaib commended the leadership of the party in the state for ensuring a hitch-free exercise. He gave special recognition to the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and other elected leaders for their roles in maintaining peace and order during the congress.
He also urged party stakeholders to sustain the prevailing calm as the party prepares for the local government congress scheduled to hold tomorrow.
“We appeal to Ogun APC leaders to ensure that the local government congress is conducted in the same peaceful and orderly manner as the ward congress,” he added.
