The State Chairman of the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Owners, Riders and Repairers Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Kayode Showunmi has congratulated the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as he marks his 65th birthday.
In a statement released on Thursday, Showunmi joined thousands of well-wishers across the nation in celebrating the Governor, describing him as a visionary leader whose commitment to good governance has set Ogun State on a steady path of growth and transformation.
He praised the Governor’s tireless efforts in promoting infrastructural development and fostering inclusive leadership.
He commended Governor Abiodun’s approach to governance, which he said prioritizes the well-being of all residents, especially the working class.
“Governor Dapo Abiodun has proven himself to be a visionary leader who genuinely cares about the welfare of the people,” Comrade Showunmi said.
“His developmental strides across various sectors, especially in transportation and youth empowerment, are highly commendable.”
Comrade Showunmi highlighted the Governor’s landmark contributions to the transport sector, noting that commercial motorcyclists and tricycle operators have experienced notable improvements in their operations under his administration.
He specifically praised the introduction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered vehicles as a forward-thinking initiative aimed at reducing the cost of transportation and promoting environmental sustainability.
“The Governor’s investment in the CNG project is a testament to his futuristic leadership,” Showunmi added. “It shows he is not only thinking of today but also of a cleaner, more affordable, and more efficient transport system for tomorrow.”
Beyond transportation, ACOMORAN lauded the Governor’s intervention in other key sectors such as education and healthcare.
The association acknowledged the administration’s efforts to rehabilitate schools, equip health facilities, and ensure access to quality services across urban and rural communities in Ogun State.
