
The Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government on Community Development and Social Welfare, Hon. Ogunkunle Ibraheem Adewale popularly known as Hadjour, has congratulated the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and the Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Oyegbola Sodipo, as Ogun State marks its 50th anniversary.
In a statement issued to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the state, and made available to newsbarrelng, Hon. Ogunkunle described the celebration as a significant milestone that reflects Ogun State’s remarkable journey of growth, resilience, and development since its creation in 1976.
He commended Governor Abiodun for his purposeful leadership and developmental strides across critical sectors of the state, noting that his administration has continued to position Ogun as an industrial and economic hub in Nigeria.
Hon. Ogunkunle also praised the Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Oyegbola Sodipo, for his commitment to grassroots development and people-oriented programmes, particularly in the areas of community development and social welfare.
According to him, the Golden Jubilee presents an opportunity for residents to reflect on past achievements while renewing collective commitment to the progress and prosperity of Ogun State.
He urged citizens of the state to remain supportive of the current administration at both the state and local government levels, stressing that sustained cooperation is essential for achieving inclusive development.
Ogun State was created on February 3, 1976, and the 50th anniversary celebration is being marked with various commemorative activities across the state.
