The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has recently conferred the distinguished fellowship award to NSE National Statutory Audit Committee member, Engr. Olumayowa Idowu a staff of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA Abeokuta, Engineering Department and Ogun State Commissioner Designate, Engr. Gbenga Dairo in Abuja.
The fellowship conferment was held at the International Conference Center, ICC, Abuja, the Country’s Federal Capital.
In his speech, the President and Chairman in Council of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Tasiu Saad Gidari Wudil, FNSE, commended the newly admitted fellows of the Society for their contributions to the development of the engineering profession. He also urged to double their commitment to advancing the engineering profession, championing innovation, and contributing to the growth of the society.
The awardees have already distinguished themselves in the field of Engineering, displayed distinction in the discharge of their duties, successfully passed through a thorough process of scrutiny by board of fellows of the society before being considered worthy of the elevation by the NSE Council.
Other 3 members honored with the highest cadre of membership of the prestigious body include Chairman NSE Abeokuta Branch and Director Ogun State Ministry of Environment, Engr. Ismail Adetunji Adenuga, Engr. Dr. Adekunle Musa and Engr. Felix Adegboye.

It would be recalled that Engineer Olumayowa Idowu FNSE is a graduate of 2022 Executive Public Leadership Programme of Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford where his capstone project was ranked the best also received the Nigerian Society of Engineers Presidential Award of Excellence in recognition of his remarkable achievements in Engineering and excellent services to the prestigious professional body, NSE
The NTA Abeokuta Engineering Staff, was again recognized with two different awards for his ingenuity and capacity in ICT development and outstanding contribution in Electrical Engineering for National development
Idowu received NTA Award, presented by the Director General of the African Largest Television Network, Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos during the 2022 NTA Heads of Engineering conference held in Abuja for his numerous interventions in the deployment of ICT for the expansion of television services thereby increasing the visibility of NTA Abeokuta and also for developing a mobile app for NTA local stations on Google play store.
