
Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NTA Chapel in Ogun State have expressed deep sadness over the sudden demise of Comrade Olubukola Agbakaizu, a member of the Ogun State Television OGTV chapel and an Ex-Officio of NUJ Ogun State Council.
In a statement by the Chairman and the secretary of NTA Chapel,Comrade Yemmy Dalemo and Luqman Adefeso described the untimely departure of the ace broadcaster who cut a niche for herself in the service of the Ogun State Television as shocking, painful and extremely devastating.
The chapel extolled her outstanding qualities of humility, Professionalism and passion for the job which she demonstrated even till her death.
The chapel extends heartfelt condolences to OGTV Chapel, Chairman of NUJ Ogun State Council Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, the Secretary of the Council, Comrade Bunmi Adigun of OGTV Chapel, colleagues in the pen profession, family and friends especially the Children and the aged mother left behind by our dearly beloved sister.
While urging all to take solace in the fact that Aunty Bukky has gone to bed with her maker, NUJ NTA Abeokuta Chapel advised every Journalist in the state to engage in regular medical checks considering the nature of their jobs on daily basis which involves stress and exposure to other harmful health challenges.
‘As we mourn our dear sister Bukola Agbakaizu let us always remember to check our health status and reduce every thing that could be inimical to our health’ the statement concluded.
Late Bukola Agbakaizu reportedly slumped and died before getting to the Federal Medical Centre while preparing to resume her work on Monday 12th May 2025.
