
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) NTA Chapel in Ogun State has congratulated the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Ogun State Command, Omolola Odutola on her recent promotion to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police.
The union in a statement by its Chairman, Comrade Yemmy Dalemo and signed by the Secretary, Luqman Adefeso rejoiced with the newly promoted PPRO and urged her to see the new rank as a call to more service.
While rejoicing with the Ogun State Police image maker and the State police command,the Chapel advised Odutola to continue to project the Nigeria Police in good light and ensure that her experience as a member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations engender mutually beneficial relationships with Ogun State Journalists and the various media Organisations in the state.
“As a worthy Ambassador of Ogun State having come from the popular Odutola family in Ijebu Ode area of Ogun State, the Journalists encouraged her to always be a good ambassador of Ogun State promising to collaborate with her to project the image of the Police in Ogun State favourably across the world.
“We want a more cordial relationship between the Nigeria Police in Ogun State, the three NTA Stations in Ogun State and every media Organisations and Journalists in the gateway State”,the statement concluded.
The NUJ NTA Chapel equally welcomed the new Commissioner of Police deployed to Ogun State, CP Lanre Ogunlowo urging him to build on the existing effective policing strategy laid down by the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun to reduce crimes and criminalities across the length and breadth of the state.
The Chapel promised effective synergy with the Police Command to promote community Policing and projects its advantages across the board.
