
The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Abeokuta Branch, has announced the installation of internet services at its Secretariat, marking a significant milestone in improving operational efficiency and enhancing member engagement.
This development is part of the deliberate efforts of the Branch leadership to ensure that members have access to reliable digital infrastructure for professional activities, meetings, research, and communication within the Secretariat.
Speaking on the development, the Chairman of the NSE Abeokuta Branch, Engr. Olumayowa Ayodeji Idowu, FNSE, stated that it aligns with the Branch’s vision to promote innovation, digital transformation, and knowledge sharing among members.
He recalled that a few months ago, the Branch also launched a Hybrid Solar Power System to power the Secretariat, as well as a new Ford Transit Bus to enhance operations and logistics. He further emphasized that till the end of their tenure, the leadership will leave no stone unturned in making an impact, particularly in enhancing capacity deployment, welfare, and professional development for members.
According to Engr. Idowu, the new internet connectivity will facilitate seamless communication and virtual engagements, while also supporting capacity building, professional development, and collaborative work among Engineers.
He added that the Branch remains committed to creating an enabling environment for modern Engineering practice and continuous learning, with the Secretariat gradually being positioned as a hub for professional excellence.
The Chairman reiterated that this milestone is one of several initiatives designed to strengthen the Branch and deliver greater value to members, encouraging engineers to take full advantage of the improved facilities.
