NSE Abeokuta Pays Tribute to Former President Obasanjo at 88

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Abeokuta Branch, has joined countless well-wishers across the world in celebrating the 88th birthday of Former President of Nigeria, Engr Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo, GCFR, PhD, FNSE. A respected fellow of the NSE Society, an esteemed elder statesman, and a distinguished Engineer, Engr Chief Obasanjo’s contributions have left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s governance, infrastructural development, and the Engineering profession.

In a statement issued by the Chairman of the NSE Abeokuta Branch, Engr. Olumayowa A. Idowu, FNSE, SMIEEE, the Branch commended Engr Chief Obasanjo for his unwavering commitment to national unity, good governance, and sustainable development. The statement highlighted his pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s democratic landscape and advancing critical infrastructure projects that have fueled the nation’s economic growth.

“On behalf of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Abeokuta Branch, we salute Engr Chief Obasanjo for his visionary leadership and countless contributions to Nigeria’s progress. As a fellow of the Society, an elder statesman, and a distinguished engineer, his legacy of excellence continues to inspire Engineers and professionals across all sectors,” stated Engr. Idowu.

The NSE Abeokuta Branch extended its heartfelt wishes for continued good health, wisdom, and long life to the former President of Nigeria, emphasizing that his enduring legacy will remain a guiding light for future generations of leaders and Engineers.
