
The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Abeokuta Branch, will on Thursday, May 1, 2025, host the 7th Sina Egberongbe Memorial Lecture in honour of the late Engr. Sina Egberongbe, FNSE, mni—a renowned technocrat, former Federal Commissioner in the Federal Civil Service Commission, Permanent Secretary, Egba High Chief, and past Chairman of the Abeokuta Branch of the Society.
In a release signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Engr. Dr. Adekunle Musa, FNSE, the lecture is themed:
“Re-Engineering Governance for National Productivity in Nigeria.”

The keynote lecture will be delivered by Engr. Dideolu Falobi, FNSE, FCIoD, Managing Director of Kresta Laurel Limited. The event is scheduled to hold at the Sina Egberongbe Block, NSE Secretariat, opposite OOPL Entrance, Abiola Way, Abeokuta**, and will commence at 11:00am prompt.
The event will be chaired by the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE**, and is expected to attract a host of dignitaries.
Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, FNSE, Deputy Governor of Ogun State, will grace the occasion as Distinguished Special Guest, while Engr. Ade Akinsanya, Honourable Commissioner for Works & Infrastructure, Ogun State, and Engr. Hon. Babatunde Adesina, Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Works, will serve as Guests of Honour.
The Royal Father of the Day will be His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland.
The host and Chairman of the NSE Abeokuta Branch, Engr. Olumayowa A. Idowu, FNSE, FNIEEE, SMIEEE, will formally welcome all guests and participants to the event.
The lecture aims to foster a robust national discourse on governance, leadership, and their impact on national productivity, reflecting the visionary legacy of the late Engr. Egberongbe.
