The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) is set to expand its modernization initiative, B’Odogwu, nationwide after a successful pilot implementation at the Port Terminal Multi-services Limited (PTML) Area Command.

The Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, reaffirmed the service’s commitment to a seamless transition despite initial challenges during a pre-launch stakeholders’ engagement at Apapa Area Command.

The B’Odogwu platform has already shown impressive results, processing over 16,000 declarations and generating revenue exceeding N120 billion within three months at PTML.

The system is designed to improve efficiency and revenue generation, and the NCS is working to integrate PAAR and Form ‘M’ to capture almost 70-80% of its operations.

The B’Odogwu platform is a robust system designed to improve efficiency and revenue generation.

It has recorded zero downtime since its introduction and is an indigenous platform developed by the NCS to facilitate seamless trade.

Stakeholders, including the Chairman of the National Council for Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA), Oladimeji Lawal, have commended the service for developing an indigenous platform.

The NCS is committed to providing continuous training sessions to prevent system abuse and ensure a seamless transition.
