… says Yewa North, Imeko-Afon Almost Cut off from Ogun due to deplorable road

The Minister of State for Health, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, CON (Yayi) for the commencement of work on the long-deplorable Rounder–Olorunda Road in Abeokuta North Local Government Area.
In a statement released via his official social media handle, Dr. Salako expressed deep appreciation for the federal government’s intervention, describing it as “a welcome relief for motorists, drivers, passengers, and all users of the road who have endured harrowing experiences for years.”
According to the Minister, the road had almost completely cut off Yewa North and Imeko-Afon Local Government Areas in Ogun West from the Ogun State capital, significantly affecting the economic and social lives of residents.
“The commencement of work on this road is a major testament that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu listens to the cries of the people, and that Ogun West has a worthy and effective representative in Senator Yayi,” he wrote.
Dr. Salako emphasized that the project underscores the impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes infrastructure development and equitable access across all regions.
He concluded by saying that Ogun West and large parts of Abeokuta North in Ogun Central are grateful for the intervention, which he believes will open up new economic and developmental opportunities for the region.
