Lawmaker Raises Alarm as flood submerged Ayede/Lomiro,Ayila/Itebu Road in Ogun Waterside,

The Member representing Ogun Waterside States Constituency, at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle (Lawee), has called on Ogun State Government and Well concerned authorities to come to the rescue of residents of Ayede/Lomiro, Ayila/Itebu-Manuwa and Ibu in Ayede Lomiro ward of Ogun Waterside local government area of Ogun State as Flood submerged the community.

The lawmaker in a statement noted that the Appeal became necessary after receiving several distress calls from the residents of the Ikale/Ilaje speaking Communities in the local government as a result of the flood that had taken over the only link road to the communities.

Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle therefore Appealed to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and other concerned authorities for urgent assistance and solution to address the flood which has prevented the residents of the affected communities from going out except using few who are taken the risk of going through canoe saying their means of livelihood has been badly affected .

A viral Online Video Sighted by newsbarrelng shown that some residents of the communities have resulted taking the risk by using canoe to navigate their ways to neighboring communities.

A middle Aged man seeing paddling the Canoe in the viral video which conveyed a motorcycle explained that residents who had set out could not continue their journey to their various places of work because the over four hundred metre Link only road has been flooded and rendered impassable.

The man also Appealed to Government at all levels to come to their aids because the flood has affected businesses and farmers in the affected communities under Ayede Lomiro ward were unable to go to farm.
