An Imeko-Afon State Constituency hopeful, Asiwaju Oladayo Oladipupo, has congratulated Solomon Olamilekan Adeola on his emergence as the consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Oladipupo described Adeola’s emergence as a well-earned recognition of his leadership credentials, capacity, and commitment to the development of Ogun State and Nigeria.
According to him, the party’s consensus decision reflects strong confidence in Adeola’s ability to consolidate on the achievements of the current administration and deliver people-oriented governance across the state.
Oladipupo, who previously served as a Senior legislative aide to the deputy senate president at the National Assembly, said he could attest to Adeola’s competence and suitability for the role, describing him as “a round peg in a round hole.” He added that the decision aligns with the wishes of the people, citing widespread acceptance of the candidacy.
He also commended Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, for what he called a deliberate effort to address longstanding concerns about leadership representation in the Yewa axis, noting that the move demonstrates fairness, inclusiveness, and a commitment to equity.
The Imeko-Afon aspirant further highlighted Adeola’s track record in public service, particularly his representation and grassroots development initiatives, as factors that distinguish him as a capable leader to drive the state’s growth.
Reaffirming his own ambition, Oladipupo pledged to provide effective and people-centered representation if elected, aligning his vision with that of the APC and its governorship candidate.
He also assured Adeola of his full support ahead of the election, expressing confidence that the electorate would rally behind what he described as a tested and trusted leader.
Oladipupo concluded by wishing the APC candidate success in the forthcoming electoral process.
