The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ward C in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Sanya Olusegun Olumose, has emerged victorious in the just-concluded local government elections in Lagos State.
The result, announced by officials of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), showed that Olumose polled 3,005 votes out of 3,245 total votes cast.
His closest rival from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 165 votes, while Labour Party (LP) had 50 votes. The National Rescue Movement (NRM) polled 19 votes, Youth Party (YP) got 1 vote, and Young Progressives Party (YPP) recorded 7 votes.
Hon. Olumose, who was described as a young and vibrant philantropist with deep ties in the community, was said to have enjoyed massive support from party leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and various stakeholders within the ward.
In his post-election statement issued through his media office, the councillor-elect expressed appreciation to the people of Ward C for their overwhelming support.
“I am grateful to everyone who stood by me during this journey. This victory is not mine alone; it belongs to the people of Ward C,” he said.
He also urged residents to continue supporting the APC and the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
