… appreciates Governor Dapo Abiodun, Hon Mudashir and others
In a bid to bring succour to the Parents, Teachers and Pupils across the nooks and crannies of the Ogun Waterside Local Government of Ogun State, the Supervisor for Education, Information, Youth and Sports in the Council Area, Hon. Ogunji Olugbenga has distributed thousands of writing materials to public Primary School Pupils across the Ten (10) Wards.
Hon. Ogunji who visited different Primary Schools for on the spot assessment said that he conceived the idea before the last Local Government Election and he vowed that if God gives him the opportunity to serve, he’s going make this gesture a priority.
He therefore appreciated God, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Ogun State Governor, Hon. Mudashir AbdulLateef Adekunle, the Executive Chairman of Ogun Waterside Local Government who gave him the platform to serve as a Supervisor in the present administration.
He also appreciated the people of his Makun Irokun Ward, other members of the Executive, Legislative Councils and the staff of the Information department for a good working relationship while in office.
He reiterated that, since these pupils are referring to as leaders of tomorrow we should be able to give all what it takes in order for them to be better off and be useful in the nearest future, as education is the only legacy that can be given to our wards which will definitely make them a better persons. He claimed that, although this first batch might not reach all students, as he holds the belief that, most of them will benefit in the second batch coming soon.
He urged the people to exercise more patients with this present administration of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at all levels particularly at the grassroots as there are more dividends of democracy in the pipeline for them.
Hon Ogunji who hails from Igbo Edu village in Makun Irokun Ward of the council area stressed that, there are more programmes such as this that will be beneficial to the people at the Grassroots are still coming.
The Executive Secretary, Ogun Waterside Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) Mr. Onaniyi appreciated the singular effort of Hon. Ogunji Olugbenga for having in mind to alleviate the suffering of these pupils in the area of providing them with educational materials which could have been bought if not distributed like this. He also reached out to others to emulate this gesture in order to assist these students most importantly during this harsh economic situation of the Nation.
Mr Adegbuyi I. B, the Headteacher, Community Primary School, Igbo Edu and Mr. Adegbuyi Gideon, the Headteacher, Irokun Primary School while appreciating the kind gesture thanks, the Supervisor, Hon. Ogunji Olugbenga for giving back to his community in a little way which was felt by everyone. They are both noted that, they’re sure that these pupils too will never forget this singular efforts in a hurry as it will linger in their memories.
The high point of the event was the official distribution of these writing materials which comprises big notes of 60 leaves, 40 leaves and Higher Education and was witnessed by the Head-Masters, Teachers and Pupils in all the Schools visited.
