Grassroots Backing for Tinubu 2027: A Testament to His People’s-Centric Approach

By Kabir Ali Danbaba
Chairman, Yari Renaissance Movement for Tinubu 2027

As members of the Yari Renaissance Movement traverse the nooks and crannies of Nigeria, engaging farmers, traders, artisans, market women, and youths, one thing is abundantly clear: President Bola Tinubu remains deeply rooted in the hearts of the Nigerian people.

That is why we found the recent outburst by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola — now the National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) — to be not only laughable but disconnected from grassroots reality. In a meeting with ADC stakeholders in Akure, Aregbesola boasted that his party was preparing to unite opposition forces to dislodge President Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

To be clear, no political party should be afraid of competition. That is the spirit of democracy. However, competition must be grounded in realism, facts, and truth. What Aregbesola and the ADC are proposing is a coalition of disillusionment — a merger of political fugitives whose only uniting ideology is their bitterness toward President Tinubu.

From our direct contact with communities across the federation, we can say confidently: the people are not moved by ADC’s antics. They know that under Tinubu, reforms are hard but necessary. They understand that bold decisions, like fuel subsidy removal and forex unification, are steps that previous leaders ran away from. They see the renewed hope agenda taking shape in projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the Abuja-Kano Road, renewed student loan schemes, and the unwavering war on corruption.

No coalition built in anger will be strong enough to shake a president grounded in popular legitimacy.

Let us also remind the public: Aregbesola is not a neutral figure. He is a beneficiary of President Tinubu’s political genius. Without Tinubu, he would never have become Lagos commissioner, Osun governor, or even a minister of the Federal Republic. Today, he seeks to erase that history and rewrite himself as a messiah of change.

But the people are not forgetful. They will not follow a man who forgot where he came from. They will not invest their trust in a politician whose own constituency — the Southwest — no longer considers him credible.

The Yari Renaissance Movement reaffirms its commitment to the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027. We will work in every ward, every zone, every village. Our movement is not powered by betrayal — it is powered by belief.

And in 2027, the grassroots will speak with one voice — and that voice will say: “Jagaban, carry go.”
