Eid-el-Fitr: Egungbohun Urges Sustained Humanitarian Spirit, Prays for End to Iran Conflict

A prominent community leader, patriotic businessman, and renowned philanthropist, Chief Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun, has congratulated his fellow mu’min across Nigeria and beyond for the successful completion of the 30-day fasting period of serving humanity.

Chief Egungbohun in his Eid-el-Fitr message, admonished Muslims to sustain the spirit to ‘serve humanity’, as cultivated during Ramadan. He offered heartfelt prayers for a swift end to the ongoing US–Iran War.

“I believe Ramadan is about uplifting others, and strengthening our bond as one people,” the Olu-Omo of Yewaland said.

“As we celebrate Eid, I urge everyone to continue to serve humanity with sincerity, kindness, and a sense of responsibility.”

The Chairman, IBD IMPEX LTD, further emphasized what he described as “the values that make us proud Nigerians”—patriotism, communal support, and unwavering hope in the “renewed hope” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He admonished every Nigerians to be conscious of the need of their neighbours in this time of economic hardship brought about by the ongoing US-Iran War, praying for its swift end.

“At a time when the world is facing uncertainties, our shared humanity must guide our actions. We must be our brother’s keeper, uplift the vulnerable, and contribute positively to society,” he added.

Reflecting on global developments, the philanthropist expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East, particularly the intensifying conflict involving the United States and Iran. Recent developments have seen military strikes, retaliatory attacks on energy infrastructure, and disruptions in global oil supply routes, heightening fears of prolonged instability.

Against this backdrop, Egungbohun offered prayers for peace and a quick resolution to the crisis.

“My heart goes out to all those affected by the ongoing conflict. I sincerely pray for a swift end to the Iran war and for peace to prevail across nations. The increase in pump prices must be reversed, the world needs healing, not further division,” he said.

Egungbohun concluded his message with prayers for continued peace, unity, and prosperity in Nigeria, urging citizens to remain hopeful and committed to nation-building.

“As we mark this sacred occasion, let us renew our commitment to service to humanity and our shared values that make us proud Nigerians. Together, we can build a nation we are all proud of,” the Olu-Omo of Yewaland said.
