The Chairman of Ogun waterside Local Government, Hon. Mudashir Abdul-Lateef has Felicitated Ogun state Governor, Dapo Abiodun and the entire people of Ogun Waterside on the celebration of 2023 Democracy Day and 30years of June 12 in remembrance of Late Chief Kashimawo, Olawale Abiola.
This was contained in a statement Personally Signed by the Chairman, where he noted that the annulled June 12 1993 Election winner, MKO Abiola will continue to be remembered as an hero of democracy in Nigeria.
The statement reads” I, Hon. Mudashir Abdul-Lateef Adekunle, the Executive Chairman, Ogun Waterside Local Government, Abigi on behalf of the Executive, Legislative Arms, Management Team, Staff, Traditional Rulers, Party Faithfuls, Market Men and Women, and the entire good people of the Council Area heartily rejoice with our mentor and master, His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun MFR, CON, the Executive Governor of Ogun State and all Nigerians on the auspicious occasion of June 12 being the Nigeria’s Democracy Day.”
“It’s a known fact that the key player in the June 12, 1993 saga who also adjudged the winner of the year’s Presidential election His Excellency, Late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola GCFR happened to be an illustrious son of the State. And it’s on this note we’re so much happy to be associated and identified with such a date.”
He therefore prayed that the good Lord that has been with the Nigeria in the past continue to strengthen this new political dispensation under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
