The National President of The Apostolic Church, Nigeria; Pastor Lawrence Oladele has called on Christians across the country to defend their salvation, fight for faith and be a loyal and faithful citizen by participating in the forthcoming coming general elections.
Pastor Oladele made this known during an interview with journalist at the sideline of a three day power packed 3 days crusade with the theme ” Salvation of Souls’ held in Abeokuta.
The Apostolic Church President also noted that every Christian is duty bound to vote and participate in the forthcoming electioneering process, saying that they should not allow anyone to buy them over and vote for the best person after their heart.
” The motive of the crusade the is salvation of souls which is necessary for every nation, every community,church, race and colour because salvation of the soul is the greatest miracle that anyone can receive in life.
” The motive is to introduce salvation to Nigeria and the whole world.
” What I want to tell Christians across the country is that they should make sure they register, be an eligible voter and participate in the election, and defend their votes.
My first message to our leaders is that they should come back to God and that is the essence of salvation, whatever their religion is, they should come back to God and be faithful.
” They should know that economically and financially, people are suffering and they should carry out policies that have human face.
The congregation should receive Jesus Christ, do the will of God, forgive their neighbors and love everyone around them as they love themselves,” he said.
The Territorial Administrative Secretary of The Apostolic Church; Pastor Ebenezer Abe on his part noted that the crusade was in fulfillment of the great commission that God gave them as a church, saying that the crusade is in its tenth year.
The Superintendent of The Apostolic Church, Agege Area; Pastor Isaac Fakunle said that a genuinely converted soul will love God and his neighbor with all his heart, adding that if everyone’s soul in the country is genuinely saved, Nigeria will be better for it.
Speaking on Prosperity, Pastor Fakunle said that Prosperity is when a person has sufficient funds in his hand to meet their needs, adding that it is not proper for anyone to become a wicked person just because of prospering.
” And if I love you, there is no way I could do anything that can injure you or make you unhappy.
” When you talk about prosperity, the Bible says what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul, when you talk of prosperity, what is prosperity?.

” My message to the congregation is that they should value their soul because if you give your soul to God, that means you have decided to live by the principles of God, God is God of love and holiness.
” Love God, Love your neighbor and live a life of holiness, nobody will be dubious in Nigeria anymore and when nobody is dubious, the riches and wealth of Nigeria will be well managed to take care of everyone,” he said.
The Abeokuta Area Superintendent; Dr Timothy Omoniyi urged the congregation to make the salvation of their souls more important than anything in the world, noting that they should be mindful of their soul and protect their soul from eternal destruction as their soul will live forever if protected.
