A frontline House of Assembly aspirant in Ogun State, Odogbolu State Constituency, Hajji Moshood Adetayo Abubakar, popularly known as Daytayo, has formally declared his intention to contest for the state legislative seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Daytayo made the declaration at his ward, Ayepe/Yewa Ward 6, in Odogbolu Local Government Area, where he addressed party members, supporters, and residents on his vision for effective and people-oriented representation.
Our correspondent reports that the aspirant was accompanied by key political associates, community leaders, and a large number of loyal supporters who gathered to show solidarity and witness the official launch of his ambition.
While speaking to journalists shortly after the declaration, the aspirant said his decision to join the race was driven by a strong desire to provide visionary leadership and bring meaningful development to the constituency.
He stressed the need for a new direction in governance, one that prioritises the welfare of the people and ensures inclusive participation across all communities.
His words “This is about service and commitment to the people. Odogbolu deserves quality representation that understands the needs of the grassroots and works tirelessly to address them. ”
Daytayo noted that his campaign would focus on youth empowerment, community development, and initiatives that would improve the socio-economic well-being of residents.
Our correspondent also reports that the declaration attracted a large turnout, with supporters expressing optimism about Daytayo candidacy and the emergence of what they described as a growing movement across the constituency.
Daytayo, therefore, called on party faithful and residents of Odogbolu to support his ambition, assuring them of transparent, responsive, and impactful representation.
