Hon. Akhigbe Kolade John has declared his readiness to mobilise massive grassroots support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Akhigbe made the declaration at the Glade Crescent Foundation’s Youth Empowerment Free GCE Programme held at Emmanuel Primary School, Ojota, Lagos State, where he reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots mobilisation and youth empowerment.
He said his support for the APC was anchored on his confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government, describing the administration’s ongoing reforms as necessary steps towards building a stronger and more economically stable Nigeria.
Akhigbe also expressed confidence in the leadership vision of Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat for Lagos State, while commending the contributions and leadership qualities of Senator Tokunbo Abiru and Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.
He further acknowledged the grassroots influence and political antecedents of Mayor Dele Oshinowo and Hon. Sanni Okanlawon, stressing that their contributions to the development of Lagos and the APC should be sustained.
“I am fully committed to supporting our party and our leaders. I will put my energy, resources and network into mobilising our people and strengthening the APC at the grassroots ahead of 2027,” he stated.
According to him, his support for President Tinubu goes beyond partisan politics, saying he personally believes that the reforms being implemented by the administration, despite the challenges they may pose, are designed to address longstanding national problems and create better opportunities for Nigerians.
He therefore appealed to Nigerians, particularly youths, to remain hopeful and give the administration the necessary support and time to implement its programmes and policies.
Akhigbe also urged students and young Nigerians to take advantage of government initiatives such as the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), stressing that access to quality education remains a critical investment in the nation’s future.

He described the Glade Crescent Foundation’s free GCE programme as a commendable initiative, saying empowerment programmes of such nature provide young people with the tools and opportunities required to build sustainable futures.
While highlighting what he described as some of the achievements of the Tinubu administration, Akhigbe reaffirmed his loyalty to the President and his identification with the City Boys and “Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” movements.
He said his mobilisation efforts would remain firmly focused on the grassroots, with the aim of attracting more people into the APC fold and securing strong electoral support for the party and its candidates in 2027.
Akhigbe maintained that effective leadership, people-centred empowerment and grassroots engagement remained essential to building a stronger society and a better future for Nigerians.
