The Convener of Akamo Grassroots for YAYI 2027, Hon. Ishaq Sunday Akamo, has distributed cash grants to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 04, Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots base and improve members’ welfare.
The empowerment programme, held on Tuesday, attracted a large gathering of APC leaders, stakeholders, youths, women and party supporters, with beneficiaries receiving financial assistance aimed at cushioning the effects of the current economic challenges.
Speaking during the event, Akamo said the initiative was designed to appreciate the loyalty and commitment of party members while encouraging greater participation in grassroots political activities. He noted that empowering party faithful remained a key strategy for building a stronger and more united APC ahead of future electoral contests.
According to him, the cash empowerment programme aligns with the objectives of the Akamo Grassroots for YAYI 2027 movement, which seeks to deepen support for the progressive ideals of the APC and consolidate the party’s structure across communities.
Beneficiaries and party stakeholders commended Akamo for the gesture, describing it as timely and a reflection of his commitment to the welfare of party members.
They expressed optimism that such initiatives would further strengthen unity within the party and enhance grassroots mobilisation.
Akamo reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining programmes that promote the welfare of APC members and advance the YAYI 2027 project, stressing that collective support and unity remained essential to achieving the party’s political aspirations in Ogun State.
