In a bid to Recognize their Selfless and contributions to the state judicial system, the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, Ogun state Branch has honoured no Fewer than 36 retirees of the Ogun state Judiciary for the year 2023.
The event which coincided with the annual end of the year party and one year in office of the Comrade (Lion) Ajiboye Olanrewaju Tunji led executives was attended by dignitaries including representatives of the Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, President of Ogun state Customary Court, Hon.Justice Adebisi olusola Femi-Segun, His royal Highness,Oba James Obafemi Saliu, the Ologere of ogere, Remo land of Ogun state, Judges from the state, Chief Registrars, Secretary of Judicial Service Commission the immediate past chairman of JUSUN in ogun State, Comrade Edun Tajudeen who also bowed out of service after meritorious years among others
In Her address, the Honourable Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu Represented Commended the dedication, and contributions of the retirees in upholding justice,fairness and the rule of law.
According to the chief judge, “Beyond their official contributions and interactions, the retiring officers have been cherished members of staff. The Ogun State Judiciary has benefited from their experience, professionalism and warmth which have enriched the work environment and made the Judiciary a better place.
“I also use this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to the retirees for their years of dedicated service which also contributed in no small measures to the enviable heights achieved thus far by the Ogun State Judiciary.
“On my part, I will not relent in ensuring that the welfare of all members of staff continues to remain a top priority. My commitment to training and broadening the knowledge base of all members of staff remains unwavering. ” She added.
On his part, the Chief Registrar , High Court of Ogun state, A.J Ojikutu said that the Retirees, throughout their career traversed different Judicial Divisions and Magisterial Districts where they strove to embody the principles of fairness, hard work and integrity.
He described themas pillars of strength, beacon of wisdom to their subordinates and sources of inspiration for all of those coming behind them.
He said” To God be the glory for a day like this. It is a time to say congratulations and express deep gratitude to the Almighty God. It is a special occasion to celebrate the retiring members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (Ogun State Branch) from the Ogun State Judiciary. The journey of the retirees in the judiciary has been noteworthy. They not only served the Ogun State Judiciary with unwavering commitment but have also left indelible marks on the hearts and minds of those who have had the privilege of working with them.
“To our retirees, as you have provided dedicated service to the Ogun State Judiciary over the years with a courteous and cheerful demeanour, your retirement is well-earned Many of your colleagues, in recent days, have reminisced with me fondly about their experiences with you all over the years. Even during stressful or challenging situations, these colleagues still recalled how you remained optimistic about exploring alternative possibilities. I wish you the very best of luck in your next pursuits. Whatever you decide” he concluded
The State Chairman of JUSUN in Ogun state , Comrade (Lion) Ajiboye Olanrewaju Tunji while congratulating the retirees for safe landing ,appreciated the Chief Judge of Ogun state , Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu for her supports at all time, and her labour friendly approach and the President of Ogun State customary court of appeal, Justice Adebisi Olusola Femi-Segun for standing by the union whenever the need arise.
The JUSUN chairman reeeled out what his executives have been able to achieve within a year in office.
These are “Setting up of Reconciliatory Committee to reconcile the aggrieved members of the Union,
Provision of Free Medical Services to members of the Union,
Provision of free legal services to members.
Disbursement of Revolving Loan to Junior Staff
Celebration of end of the year party/Farewell Program to honour our 2023 Retirees.
Provision of social services and emergency financial assistance to members.
Encouraging members to prepare well for their Promotion and Conversion among eligible Staff of Ogun State Judiciary.
Constant feedback and quick and up to date information dissemination to members.
Prompt attention to Judiciary workers welfare From Ogun State Government and Management of Ogun State Judiciary.
He therefore assured members of more benefits in this year 2024.
“I cannot but appreciate the leadership of JUSUN and its members in Ogun State for their support, spirit of oneness and comradeship which has continually kept the Union together.
“I will like to roundoff with a word of appreciation for the support of our fathers (Honourable Judges), the advice of the Secretary to the JSC, our Chief Registrars, the guidance of our DCRs, the words of encouragement of Magistrates and Presidents, the joint effort of our ACRs and Sectional Heads and for the entire staff! Thank you so much, we humbly further covet that support to do more and to accomplish greater things in the year 2024. ” He concluded.
The Comrade Ajiboye Led executive took over the mantle of leadership on 16 December,2022.
