
A Former member of the federal house of representatives, Hon. Abiodun Abudu Balogun, popularly known as ACTION, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, following a strategic engagement with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Executive Committee (EXCO) in Ijebu North Local Government Area.
The meeting, attended by party stakeholders and grassroots leaders, featured a strong show of support for the aspirant, alongside discussions on party unity and electoral prospects, according to a statement by the YAYI/ACTION Media Crew.
Addressing party members, Balogun outlined his agenda for inclusive representation, sustainable development and people-centred leadership. He stressed the importance of cohesion within the APC, urging members to work collectively to strengthen the party’s structure ahead of forthcoming elections.

“This journey is not about an individual, but about the collective progress of our people. Together, we can build a future that reflects the true aspirations of our constituency,” he said.
In their remarks, members of the EXCO commended Balogun’s longstanding contributions to the party at the grassroots level and expressed confidence in his capacity to effectively represent the constituency if elected.
In a related development, APC leaders in Ogun Waterside Local Government were also commended for their unified support for Balogun’s aspiration. The YAYI/ACTION Media Crew, in the statement, expressed appreciation for what it described as a collective endorsement rooted in fairness, courage and commitment to progress.

It added that the endorsement reflects a shared vision focused on development, inclusiveness and effective representation, noting that such alignment sets the stage for a more prosperous future for the constituency.
Party leaders also pledged continued mobilisation and support for Balogun’s aspiration, describing him as a credible candidate capable of delivering democratic dividends.
