Harmony Community Development Association (CDA) Olomore in Abeokuta North Area CDC has celebrated her 2024 Annual General Meeting on Saturday 29th June, 2024 with the commissioning of newly installed 11KVA transformer donated last year by the Governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
It would also be recalled that in 2023, Harmony CDA in collaboration with other communities around Ire-Akari Oke Odo, numbering about five, commissioned a 10 million naira bridge contracted to CCECC, a Chinese construction company for the construction of damaged bridge which linked all the communities together and the project had since being completed.
The Chairman of Abeokuta North Urban Area CDC Chief Leke Adio, charged the community not to relent in engaging in laudable projects as he commended them for the feat achieved so far.
The Chairman of the CDA Chief Julius Olawale Oloyede in his remarks appreciated the gesture of the government that gave them the transformer.
The Chairman equally appreciated the dedication, perseverance and unflinching support of the community members at ensuring that the AGM was a huge success.
He said that the transformer was fully energized by community effort to the tune of #12m, he used the opportunity to appeal to the State government to also come to the aid of the community in the area of good and motorable road within and around the community.
The APC Abeokuta North party chair Alhaja Faidat Akintunde-Sarumi represented by Com.Akibo Oladipupo Solomon the APC Abeokuta North Local Government youth leader deliver the good will message on behalf of the Chairman where she assured the community of more government intervention and also urged them to reciprocate the Ogun state government’s gesture with more supports to the government.
Also, present at the epoch making event were Mrs Hassan Alimot, representative Min. Of Community Development, and cooperatives, Mrs. Lasisi Muhibat O Abeokuta North Local Government officer, past and current Chairmen of neighbouring CDAs, distinguished members of the community as well as friends and family.
