The National Association of the Ijebu Muslim College Ijebu Ode Old Students Association ( IMCOSA) has elected the Chairman, Nigeria Union of journalists,NTA Abeokuta Chapel, Comrade Yemmy Dalemo as the National Publicity Secretary of the association for an initial two years term.
This was during the Annual General Meeting of the Association held recently in Ijebu Ode area of Ogun State.
Otunba Olawale Salami of set 71 is the New National President of IMCOSA, while Abiodun Alebiosu of the 91/96 set was equally elected as the National Secretary of the famous old Students Association.
Both Yemmy Dalemo and Abiodun Alebiosu are from the famous rising set known as the Serubawon set.
The National President Otunba Olawale Salami explained that the vision of the new administration is that the ” Ijebu Muslim College attains the status of the consistent center of Excellence in academic performance, character and extra-curricular activities as it was in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s”.
He added that emphasis will continue to be on the provision of soft infrastructure in the area of Teaching and learning, increasing the number of extra teachers to the two schools to ensure that the schools have enough teachers particularly in core subjects.
” We intend to create the opportunity to have robust consultations with our stakeholders particularly the Parents,the Ijebu Muslim Community and the government” Salami stated.
Asiwaju Taiwo Olasupo Adeniji Set 73/77 is the 1st National Vice President,Afolasade Toyin Odueke Set 71 emerged 2nd National Vice President,Assistant Nationwide General Secretary is Abass Ibrahim Olanrewaju from Set 92.
Others are: Yekinni Adekunle Ayantade and Abiola Shakirat Badejo both of set 86.
