The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Yewa South Local Government has reaffirmed its commitment to party unity and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections during an interactive meeting with the party’s Ogun State House of Assembly candidate for Yewa South State Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Ogundele.
The meeting, held in Ilaro, brought together party leaders, stakeholders, ward executives, youth and women leaders, as well as representatives of the various organs of the party to deliberate on strategies aimed at strengthening the PDP’s structure and positioning it for electoral success in Yewa South and across Ogun State.
Addressing party faithful, Hon. Ogundele expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the party for their unwavering support, assuring them of his commitment to providing purposeful and people-centred representation if elected.
He also urged members to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of the PDP’s governorship candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, and other party candidates in the 2027 elections.
The interactive session featured reports on party activities by the Yewa South PDP Chairman, Alhaji Lateef Onifade; Local Government Collegiate Chairman, Alhaji Aliu Fagbohun; Monitoring and Evaluation Chairman, Hon. Idowu Falade; and Ogun West Senatorial Chairman, Elder Sunday Soledolu, JP.
Party members also took part in discussions, offering suggestions on strengthening the party’s structures and reaffirming their commitment to ensuring victory for the PDP at the polls.
A major highlight of the meeting was the unveiling of ward coordinators and members of the IRORUNDE Babes campaign structure across the local government. Organisers said the initiative is designed to deepen grassroots mobilisation and expand the party’s reach ahead of the election.

Hon. Ogundele also presented his campaign blueprint, which he said focuses on unity, inclusive participation, and sustained grassroots engagement to secure victory for the PDP, its governorship candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, and other candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Campaign souvenirs were distributed to party leaders, ward chairmen and members in attendance.
The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge by party leaders and members to work collectively towards consolidating the PDP’s presence in Yewa South and delivering electoral victory in Ogun State in 2027.
